Internet Safety

“Top Keyword Search: Internet Safety”

Internet safety or online safety is the security of people and their information when using the Internet. Numerous groups, Internet sites and governments have expressed concerns over the safety of children using the Internet. In the UK the Get Safe Online campaign has received sponsorship from government agency SOCA and major Internet companies such as Microsoft and eBay. Several crimes can be committed on the Internet such as stalking, identity theft and more. Most social networking and chat sites have a page about safety.

The Internet Safety Act and the Internet Stopping Adults Facilitating the Exploitation of Today's Youth Act are two United States  bills requiring "a provider of an electronic communication service or remote computing service [to] retain for a period of at least two years all records or other information pertaining to the identity of a user of a temporarily assigned network address the service assigns to that user."Also, this is to stop child pornography and meant too keep internet predators offline and in prison cells. Also, this is to make internet safety PS-As and to make internet safety a concern and to stop child and teen abduction. Also, this is to get children and teens to report issues on the internet to parents and internet officials rather, than to be afraid and to log off and be worried that they did something wrong.
